Eco-tourism and Hiking around the Pyramid Hills

The area around Pyramid is absolutely spectacular and is a great place to do some hiking. Imagine yourself overlooking the panorama of the river valley from atop 1000 foot cliffs. It is also a great opportunity to witness many different birds of prey and animals such as the majestic Golden Eagle, Peregrine and Gyrfalcons, foxes and wolves. Many species of small birds also populate this unique region. Bring along a small fishing rod and you can fish some of the numerous lakes for landlocked Arctic Char, Brook trout and huge Lake trout.

There is a good airstrip right at camp ideal for private aircraft with larger tires, a floatplane landing area and small beach on the George River in front of camp provide a great opportunity to stay and fish some of the surrounding lakes for landlocked Arctic char, Brook trout and big Lake trout.
